No. If you do not have a draft, we can discuss with you various ways to approach answering the essay question based on your own unique experiences and perspective. An Admissions Committee wants sincerity and can often discern when an essay is not the work of an applicant. Furthermore, preserving your unique voice and telling the particular facts that only you would know are keys to a successful, compelling essay. Therefore to have the best admissions chance requires that you at least create the first draft and write the essay in your own words. After our discussion with you, we can provide you with a suggested outline of how you can approach your draft. Next, we will thoroughly review and edit your first draft and work with you an additional edit round to polish the essay. Our editing of your draft can range from light to heavy depending on your preference, but we do our best to have the essay be uniquely yours while depicting you in the most advantageous light. We also find that the editing process presents a valuable learning experience for our clients. This is a substantial side benefit of using our services, but you would learn nothing if we wrote the draft for you.

Can I ask my editor for general advice about my applications?

Yes. Clients that sign on for the Individual Essay Service or Total Service may communicate with their editors via email or by phone with general questions about their applications.

How long do the essays and applications take to complete?

For Total Service clients, we will complete the first round edit within 5 to 10 days of receiving the draft, depending on the number of essays received (you should review the relevant Service Details for specific information). We will complete the second round edit (which is a final polish incorporating any last comments or ideas) within a few days of receiving the second draft from you.
For Individual Essay Service clients, we will complete the first round edit within 3 to 10 days of receiving the draft(s), depending on the number of essays received (you should review the Service Details of the specific school type for further details). We will complete the second round edit (which is a final polish incorporating any last comments or ideas) within a few days of receiving the second draft from you.
In addition to the above time frame, you should also consider the time you will need to provide us with drafts and that we may need additional information from you to perform the highest quality review and edit possible. In all cases, we aim to return our edits and comments as quickly as possible.

Can you edit essays on a rush basis?

Yes. We can edit essays on a 48-hour schedule, and, if you are using our Total Service, we can edit other submissions (such as resumés and recommendation letters) on a 24- to 48-hour schedule. The rush service requires an extra fee per piece. Clients needing rush service should inform us as soon as possible. We will accept rush requests only if there is already a substantial rough draft and we reserve the right to refuse any rush request.

Do you provide interview assistance?

Yes. For a limited time, we are offering one free 30-minute mock interview session by phone to Total Service clients who will have to schedule interviews. Your mock interviewer will evaluate your interview performance and provide you with objective feedback.

Can you translate essays from another language into English?

If you require translation services to translate your essay into English, please let us know and we can arrange the translation. The translation service will require an additional charge and will depend on the length and difficulty of the essay.

How do you protect your clients’ privacy?

Protecting your privacy is important to us. We will make all reasonable efforts to protect any and all personal information you submit or disclose to us and we will not sell your email addresses to any third party.

Can I make payment in non-US currency?
